Catching up, wedding news and more

Yeah, I know. I said that I would keep this up, but I never do. Back in the days when I was unemployed while working in the film industry, I spent HOURS in front of the computer doing all sorts of crap. Of course this is prior to the full on world wide web, complete with surfable fun and depravity. I put together this mailing list which was maintained completely manually and put together a daily email called trasharama. This email would include a daily excerpt from the Andy Warhol diaries, horoscopes, jokes, really stupid facts for the day from my Film Threat calendar and any other thing that made me feel cool. Soon people were forwarding to their friends and I was getting strangers requesting a "subscription." Nowadays I'd probably be strungup for copyright infringement. Of course I am too lazy to keep something like that up for too long, or maybe it was the fact that I began working on 2 or 3 films simultaneously because I had no life. This was the point where I was working on Johnny Mnemonic, Boys on the Side and probably writing music at the same time. I only dream about having that kind of energy now. I come home from work and immediately my brain turns to mush. Thinking/writing jobs are very tiring. News: I got a new job! Yes, the threat of DMV layoff is gone and I have parlayed my ultimate doom/surplus status into a great opportunity at another state agency. More on that later. I start October 6th. We just got back from Brett and Megan's Wedding in Seattle (Go A's!) and I posted some down and dirty pix up on my .Mac website (here!) You can also see my first iMovie there: The Dynamic Duo. I am working on the next one for Brett and Megan. I was supposed to be having a cross-country iMovie contest with Uncle Billy (actually Mike's niece's husband Billy, who's like a million years older than me -- well, 5 or 6 -- but we call him Uncle Billy because all the little kids do. Billy, what's up with that. I need to collect footage of the dogs pooping. Billy's excused because they just had a run-in with hurricane Isabel. Maybe I'll post again before xmas.
