Gloat not, or else win not
There's an unwritten rule with my brothers about gloating about baseball teams. And so I am not gloating. I'm just very satified with the outcome of the last two extra innings games between the Red Sox and the Yankees. Hee hee....

I'm having a hard time learning to understand this. For the first two games they won, I kept getting all excited and enthusiastic, as is my wont in life, and bouncing around about how the red sox are going to WIN WIN WIN! Why this was met with Brett's disapproval I couldn't quite understand. He's a fan! He wants them to win! Yes he does!
But he doesn't want me to talk about it. Boy, you Red-Sox-fans-from-birth have really been traumatized, haven't you? I'm starting to grok it now.
I spent the entire game 7 emailing back and forth with "Uncle Billy" from New Hampshire about the game, but neither one of us mentioned winning, the world series, or any other positive thing. I have been wearing my 2003 playoff sweatshirt for 4 games straight and I refuse to wash it. I will continue to do the same through this series as well. Us Red Sox fans ... we're used to being losers, so getting a taste of winning can be dangerous.
